Agree with Walt D in LV--Fatburger, at its best is up there with In-N-Out, Shake Shack, and Five Guys as one of the best 'fast food" burgers you can get! I've been trying to convince my wife and kids (and others), who haven't had Fatburger, that it was the best burger I'd ever eaten at the time, but no one believes it was THAT good. When I made this recipe, however, my son fell into a brief trance-like state, and said it was the best burger that I've ever made! He's been talking about it ever since. Thanks, Todd!!! I think I came as close as you possibly can to the real thing with your recipe!

This burger tastes just like Fatburger USED to taste, back when it WAS good, when it was winning all its awards. Trouble struck the company around 2010, and they made a few changes, not the least of which was changing the names of the burgers from Fatburger and King Burger to XL and XXL type names. The recipe changed also. Different bread, different ingredients. This recipe is how it was in the "old" days, and it tastes fantastic!
