This recipe passes as a tasty mac n cheese recipe, however I know KFC mac n cheese quite well due to consuming a lot of it during my college years and the two aren't an exact match. I took notes from some of Todd's techniques by grating my (mild) cheddar cheese myself instead of using pre grated. My results were that the sauce was a little toover salty and the consistency was not as creamy as the real deal. Much respect Todd; I have tried some of your other recipes to great success but this one may need to go back to the drawing board.

This is almost exactly how I have made my Mac & Cheese for more than 40 years. The only difference is about a Tablespoon of Parmesan Cheese to give it zip.

This recipe is really good but doesn't taste exactly like KFC macaroni. In response to "mary," KFC macaroni is not Stouffer's. I have a hard time believing that "mary" works there if she does not know this.
Sorry to dissapoint you all but i have worked at KFC for a number of years and there is no secret in the mac and cheese...only in the chicken....we use Stouffers frozen mac and cheese as does the entire KFC franchise.....
