These are awesome, totally worth making. The best scone you have ever ate.

Just tried and and I wish I had made a double batch! Wonderful. I used milk (1%) instead of the cream and whole milk since it was what I had on hand and they are really good!

Thank you! I've been trying to recreate this recipe for a while -- I love the Starbucks pumpkin scones since the pumpkin keeps them so moist, but I stopped buying them after they added the icing a year ago (way, way too sweet!) I actually drizzled honey over them instead of glaze or icing -- Yum! (I will add a tad more sugar also to make up for the missing glaze/icing.)

This worked up quickly once I got into it, and is a fairly easy recipe. If u have never made scone before...be sure butter is very cold and use real butter! I omitted the clove however, not big fan of it, but that is my taste! Like all recipes make it ur own and just enjoy it! never had these before so i can't compare to starbucks....but these were the best I have ever made yet! p.s. Reduce oven temp to 420* if convection oven is used (fan) thanks!

Recipe turned out really good (though I haven't been able to try the original yet). I did substitute 2% milk for the whole milk and half and half and it turned out just fine.
