I grew up in south LA, and first tasted Popeyes at age 6 in the mid 70's. This was the best "dirty rice" I've ever had. The recipe is fantastic, really easy, and saves you about $20 for the amount this makes. The texture is better than Popeyes (which is usually mushy), and the flavor is really close. Tempted to adjust the cayenne higher and thyme lower or try different rice (I used basmati), but it was great as is. Thanks, Todd!
