Ratings and Reviews of Pepperidge Farm Chesapeake Dark Chocolate Pecan Cookies

So worth the 79 cents!! OMG! The texture is PERFECT! I love how he tells you the EXACT measurement in - not just cups -but also in ounces (depending on humidity, etc.). I love that he says how big to make the cookies down to the ounce. I weighed each on and DID get exactly 36 cookies ...and they are so uniform and beautiful. But really, what I was looking for were the tricky ratios, and he nailed it!!
Pepperidge Farms cookies are getting harder to find and I'm a long-time addict. I even think I heard they bit off more than they could chew when they absorbed another company and so may be cutting back ...ON THIER COOKIE LINE...because it is the least profitable. (Yeah, I called the company, I was getting so desperate) How can that be when they are the best danged chocolate chip cookies on the market?! Well, not anymore! My addiction is no longer subject to the caprices of globalism and greed. These are the best chocolate chip I have EVER made! And likely the LAST recipe I will ever have to try. After 61 years of trying you'd think I'd have found one already...but no... not until I plopped down my 79 cents. LOL! (Sorry Alton Brown)

These cookies are the bomb!! The only thing I changed was I used butter flavored vegetable shortening rather than regular because that's all I had. And I substituted 1/8th cup of THAT for coconut oil because I thought I had read coconut oil on the P Farms package and didn't fully trust this recipe yet. Upon closer inspection it appears I was wrong...but no worries. I'm currently in texture/flavor/cookie heaven! Thanks!! This was my first purchase from you. I will be checking other recipes as well. Can they ALL be this good????
