I've made this several times. The key to a perfect clone is the noodles. I've tried all kinds of noodles trying to recreate the mouth feel of Panda Express chow mein, and by far the best noodle to use is Twin Marquis Yakisoba noodles. These come in a green package and the noodles are pre-cooked. Simply soak in hot water for 30 seconds to loosen them up, then drain and dry as best you can before using in the recipe. These noodles have the same chew as what you get at Panda. You can find these noodles in Asian markets, or I'm sure they can be ordered online.

Might want to increase the oyster and soy sauce to improve flavor. Halve the amount of cabbage and onions and slice them thinly. A garlic clove in there while cooking (remove before serving) would bring it along.

Absolutely terrific. This can be the simple basis of any flavor Chow Mein you want. The options are limitless.

Was spot on. I actually liked it more than the restaurant version.
