Made this soup today. The broth reduced way down and I couldn't eliminate the lumps. The taste was there, but didn't like the lumps. Will try again.
This is an awesome recipe! I did have problems with the flour clumping up, but like the recipe said it did cook out eventually. I would definitely recommend keeping the heat on low after the initial boil. Anyhew, I really miss this soup from outback only a few locations still serve it up.. Happy cooking!

LOVED this recipe! It was totally worth the nearly two hours of cooking.
I made a few changes though. I used more onion, added garlic and would use less cream so the soup is slightly thicker.

This is the REAL Recipe! The other online recipes for Walkabout Soup that use chicken broth and Velvetta cheese is not the real deal.
