I've been looking for a great restaurant style salsa recipe for ages! Thanks Top Secret recipes! This salsa is the best!

LOVE IT and have loved it for years, but I add only a couple of peppers. I also add a bit more garlic and cilantro. Make it to taste.
I've had this recipe for some time now and would have to say I'm surprised to see that the recipe still calls for so many peppers. Anyone purchasing this recipe should only use up to 2 large Jalapenos for a nice mild spicy taste or 3 to 4 for a more hot salsa. The tomatoes make a huge difference also. I've noticed that if you get a bad batch of tomatoes (store bought normally) it changes the taste of the final product. The final suggestion is to make sure and use the smoke liquid called for in the recipe. Don't go cheap on the liquid smoke or it will surely change the flavor for this salsa and you wont like it! If you follow things and reduce the peppers you'll love this salsa and so will your guests!
I love Chevy's salsa and could eat it by the bowlful. I was thrilled to see this recipe and immediately had to buy the recipe. I made this salsa last night and it is TOO HOT!!! The salsa at Chevy's has a nice mild flavor and doesn't burn like crazy when eating it. Also I think the 1_ tsp. of liquid smoke is just a tad too much. I think that could be cut in half and still have a very nice flavor. Oh well, at least I can use your recipe as a starting point to make a salsa that is more like Chevy's.
I love Chevy's salsa, but their food is only OK. I wished that I could make their salsa, but didn't want to spend the hours trying. Your recipe is absolutely the best cloned salsa!! I get to work with several Mexicans (I am very white), and when I asked them to sample it, they rated it an ELEVEN! Thank you so much, Todd!
