This recipe is fantastic! The only changes I made was that I didn't add the sugar and I didn't fry up the meat. I added it when I added all the liquid ingredients and simmered it like a Cincinnati style chili. I feel that best captures the texture of the ground beef of Barney's chili. Other than that I followed the rest of the ingredients and it made a great bowl of chili - especially for a plate of chili cheese fries!

Hi, I've been using your recipes for close to 30 years, as well as eating chili at Source DFW for more than 30 years. Your new recipe for Barney's Beanery Chili using the Gerhart chili powder made the best chili my wife ever had!
