In thr last month, I've purchaed numerous chili cheese burritos. I had to give this recipe a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked.

I did not have/use MSG and wish I had a different brand of chili powder. I will attribute those things to it not tasting exactly the same, but it was very close. I would make them again trying a dkff9brand of chili powder. (I had Member's Mark beans and it has a slightly burned taste to me.)

My experience was that they were much more like the original the next day, after the mixture cooled and really set in the refrigerator. Freshly cooked, they were very runny and super messy. I would reheat enough for my burrito in the microwave and then assemble on the tortilla.

I'd give it 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 here.

This was very good! It was a bit too spicy for my liking but everyone else in my family enjoyed it as written.

Made these Taco Bell Chilitos tonight! Trust me, you want these! Just get your ingredients together and just see how great these are! I followed Todd's recipe exactly. I even made the oat flour from scratch with ⅓ cup of rolled oats in my smallest food processor. I even ground it down some more on a mortar and pestle to get it really fine and powdery, which yielded slightly more than ¼ cup of oat flour. This is a very easy recipe to make and the results are quite impressive. I can hardly wait to share these with my family members. Once again, Todd has made tasty magic happen!
