I have been searching for this flavor for almost fifty years now. I had been kinda hmming and hawing over this particular one for a little while now, and today finally decided to give it a try.

After the first batch came out of the oven, I gave them a few moments to cool down and then tried one. The memories of my grandma's house came flooding back. She always used to keep a bag of Pogens in the cupboard and I loved the things. These taste exactly like those used to.

Funnily enough, they're also the only gingerbread anything that I've ever liked, so these cookies are now in the rotation and I cannot wait to make a ton in the fall.

These are the best ginger snaps ever, and they were shaped like gingerbread boys. Really good with cantaloupe too.
