Ratings and Reviews of KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) Mashed Potatoes & Gravy

Those saying that KFC uses drippings is simply not true. they use instant potatoes and instant gravy mix.

The reason this doesn't work is because they use the cracklings from the bottom of the pressure fryer that the original recipe is cooked in. Unless you know the secret recipe and own a large pressure fryer then you will never duplicate it.

In KFC they make from the gravy from the drippings when they change the oil in the fryer. It's mixed with flour and water and that's all. Unless you have that then there's no way to make authentic gravy...

This tastes just like the stuff at KFC but you have to use the MSG...if you don't just make instant potatoes & use a pkg brown gravy mix.
