Unfortunately this one was disappointing. It was OK the day I made it, but the longer it sat in the fridge for the next week or two, the more flavor it seemed to lose. I did let it simmer the required time and perhaps a bit longer, as it wasn't thickening enough. I may try it with some modifications and experiment a bit to see if I can dial it in a little more for my taste.

The long simmer time reduces the sauce to the right consistency AND allows the flavors to meld and come together. There's a reason.

It calls for 4 cups of liquid and you're supposed to simmer it down to 1 1/2 cups of final sauce? Why not just add less water? Seems like a waste of time. BUT! I am glad to try it based on the reviews of the others!

The original recipe was my Aunt Mary's recipe. They bought all of her inventory and used her recipe to become what it is today. "Masterpiece"
