I know, sounds silly but its true! It tastes more like raw pumpkin and less like pumpkin pie. Some people, like my hubby, likes that. I just don't feel it's spot on for jack in the box. What I do is 3 c ice cream, 1 c milk, and 1/4 pack of a limited edition pumpkin pie jello pudding box, then sprinkle pumpkin pie spice to taste. GL finding your perfect blend!!

Made this before Thanksgiving because my son was begging me (he's 6). I don't particularly care for pumkin pie, so this wasn't my cup of tea. I tried it anyway, and wow, it really does taste like pumpkin pie, just cold and without crust.

This is fabulous, we made it over the weekend. We live in an area without a Jack In The Box so this is a real treat! A note on the honey, your body processes sugar and honey identically so it doesn't matter which you use.

I haven't had the Jack In the Box version to compare this to, but I have to say it's very very good!!! I never would have thought to make this myself, but now that I have the recipe I plan on making it often! It's super easy too!!

It's a great shake! I use honey to taste instead of sugar, it's healthier.

I've tried both, Jack in the Box and TSR's clone...so, why buy take-out when you have this great recipe to make at home. But don't just let this great drink pass after Thanksgiving. When Christmas comes around kick this clone up a notch by adding your favorite spirit of Brandy or Rum. For the Adults, of course. I also sprinkle a little of the pumpkin pie spice on top of the whipped cream.
