Ratings and Reviews of Popeyes Spicy Mayonnaise

OMG! Is this ever good! I have never had a Popeye's chicken sandwich but I've used this spicy mayonnaise on my crispy chicken sandwiches at home and it's the greatest thing! I've made two batches of this so far and I'll be making even more. I put the sauce together and allow it to rest in the refrigeratover night before using it.That allows the powdered spices to disolve into the mayonnaise properly. Do that and it looks just like it does in Todd's recipe photo. Excellent job on creating this recipe, Todd!

I made this and found it really good on sandwiches. I have not tried the Popeye's version. A keeper.

This sauce is amazing let it sit for at least 20 minutes, and you will have an amazing chicken sandwich sauce

Perfect and delicious HOWEVER as any sauce boss knows, once you make it, put it the the refrigerator covered for at least a couple of hours before you eat it, to let all the seasonings marry together . It makes a major difference in the final flavor profile!

The heat level seems off. This might be a starting point in the quest but not like Popeye's IMHO. I tried adding ground dried Fresno peppers but it still needs more heat and perhaps a different heat.

Made this sauce to go with a homemade chicken sandwich. It tastes AMAZING, as if it came from Popeyes itself. It's not as spicy as Popeyes; it has a little kick, then the flavors take over. My parents cannot eat very spicy food, but when they tried it they said it was the perfect balance for them!

Just made it. It looks and tastes like Popeye's spicy mayo!
