Would love this recipe redone with weight measurements for better accuracy, as well as temperatures for the cooking portions. But I just made it today and my wife said it was the best cake (not just cheesecake) she’s ever had, and she doesn’t like cheesecake that much so this recipe is definitely delicious. But want to see weights.I thought the cheesecake needed some tang from sour cream, gonna add that next time.
Definitely make sure you strain the cooked egg yolks in the cheesecake step too, i had chunks of cooking eggs

I made this for Thanksgiving, and it looked like a lot to do, but, honestly, minus all the chilling times, it didn't take very long. I screwed up a couple of things (left whipping cream in fridge and forgot to mix it in, cooled the mouse part too long), but my husband loved it. It was a bit too sweet for me, but everyone else loved it. I made 4 different cheesecake and my husband said this was his favorite. I will almost definitely be making this again for Christmas.

I hesitated because I’ve always preferred real cheesecake to no-bake “cheesecake” desserts, but I gave it a shot. I followed the directions precisely, but the no-bake layer wouldn’t firm up. When I tried to cut and serve it after many hours of preparation and freezing/chilling, the no-bake layer oozed out the side and the slice sunk in on itself. I’m going to try again, but bake a traditional Oreo cheesecake layer the day before, then wrap and freeze it overnight. I’ll unwrap and stack it on the frosted cake layer and then proceed with the mousse. Once it’s thawed and the whole thing is set and frosted, I think the end result will be a success. This recipe is still worth it for all the various components; I just found that the no-bake approach to the cheesecake layer produced a dessert that wasn’t firm enough to slice and serve.
