My husband can no longer eat gluten and misses the "greasy Chinese" that he used to get at the mall's food court (lo mein, battered chicken dishes, etc.). I try to find recipes similar to those and this one was a winner. Note that I wouldn't say this is a "greasy" meal, although you do deep fry the chicken. I used King Arthur gluten free flour for the coating and batter and doubled the recipe. Although it's tedious to make this recipe, it came out really well and everyone, including my husband, enjoyed it. I'd definitely make it again.

Delicious recipe it has a lot of flavor. I served it with my Chinese shrimp fried rice and I made boba tea.

This recipe was spot on to the original. One of my favorite entrees at Panda Express.

This is one of our favorite items at Panda Express. This looks just like what we have ordered there. So, we are very glad that Todd copied this and shared the recipe. It's just got so expensive to eat out, so it is nice to have a way to cook some of our favorite dishes at home -- if we choose to stay home and go to the trouble of cooking it ourselves. Once again, Todd Wilbur comes to the rescue of middle class Americans.
