I put 12 cloves of garlic in, and they came out decent.

These were delicious...but you really should add the salt to the water immediately, then lightly salt and pepper as needed after the potatoes are cooked. Try a 50/50 mix of Yukon and Russet...its perfection :). Let the butter come to room temp before adding (I only used about 5 tbsp and it was plenty). I also only needed about a 1/2 cup or so of cream.

These were very tasty and a good complement with my Beef and Guiness stew. After the addition of butter they were already close to the creamy consistency I wanted. That being said I had 1.25 cups of cream ready to go, but as I added stopped after about 1/4 cup. This is probably subjective due to the size of potatoes. Salted to taste and they were very delicious.
